Jackson Pollock Inspired Art Party!
Each year, our students are rewarded for making positive decisions in the art room. It provides students with the opportunity to work towards a common goal. Students could earn colors at the end of each class, which reflects the choices they made as a group. At East Hills we aim for the gold, which is the ideal color you can earn. On November 19, 2014 Ms. Cooper’s 3rd grade class reached the desired goal of being the first group of students to earn an art party this year. Using Jackson Pollock’s dripping and splattering techniques, students collaborated effectively to create an abstract painting of our school mascot.
